University of Iowa, Roy G. Karro Athletics Hall of Fame And Visitors Center
Iowa City, Iowa
Since it opened in 2002, the Roy G. Karro Athletics Hall of Fame has served as a must-see stop for Hawkeye fans. Fans can browse through the history of every competitive sport that the University of Iowa has to offer; from displays Big Ten trophies to a scorecard from the lowest round shot by a Hawkeye golfer. They can get hands-on basketball shooting experience on the actual floor of the old Field house and kick field goals both while a crowd cheers in the background. The Hall of Fame also uses computer screens to recreate memorable events in UI’s athletic history and there is a theatre where fans can watch highlights from a number of Iowa's sports. D|G Studios provided comprehensive Exhibit Design services for the Hall of Fame, which began with an extensive artifact cataloguing exercise and finished with a highly successful opening.
