The United States Botanic Garden (USBG) is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America. It informs visitors about the importance, and often irreplaceable value, of plants to the well-being of humankind and to earth’s fragile ecosystems. The Conservatory reopened in December 2001 after a four-year renovation, showcasing an impressive state-of-the-art indoor garden with approximately 4,000 seasonal, tropical and subtropical plants. It was during this renovation that D|G Studios had the opportunity to design an exterior and interior wayfinding/signage program for the USBG. Also, D|G Studios designed an interpretive graphics program for the Gardens to help reach the educational goals of the USBG.
