Houston, Texas
The University of Texas Health Science Center opened a new a 300,000 square foot, six-story facility in 2012. Within the Center was a dedicated space that the administration envisioned as an educational area to highlight the achievements of the school and its alumni. Although not very large, the administration had great expectations of the space. Through its displays, the museum will inform and educate the general public, medical professionals and students concerning the history of UT Dentistry. The first floor lobby has two areas designated for telling the school’s story; a hallway showcase and a dedicated history gallery. D|G worked with the School of Dentistry to ensure that both spaces showcased and presented a coherent story in a creative, visually appealing, easy-to-understand way. The exhibit opened in winter 2013.
