Following a $5 million gift from Theodore F. "Ted" Constant, Old Dominion University developed plans for a 75-acre University Village, which included a new convocation center, named the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The $40 million convocation center, features an arena that can seat up to 10,000. The Constant Convocation Center is the home of the Old Dominion Monarchs and Lady Monarchs basketball teams. The Center features a sports Hall of Fame with hands-on activities and exhibits displayed throughout the Center designed by D|G Studios. Highlighting accomplishments of all sports played at the University, the Hall of Fame celebrates the winning tradition of the Monarchs both on the field and off.
