The Welcome Center serves University visitors and alumni needing assistance finding locations, identifying programs, or getting maps or tours. To learn more about the University, its colleges and the campus, visitors can access the Center, where they can receive campus maps, talk to UH representatives and access information using computer kiosks. Part of the Welcome Center's ground level is dedicated to commercial space to be occupied by eateries and other service retailers.

D|G Studios provided both Environmental Graphic Design and Exhibit Design services for the Center and its Garage. Along with the thematic signage and wayfinding program, the design process included design of the computer kiosks, welcome desk, and retail standards for the commercial spaces.
