There are 15 key buildings that make up the Capitol Complex, which totals over 16.5 million square feet of office space on 450 acres of ground. More than 30,000 people work on Capitol Hill and nearly 3 million visit each year. The Office of the Architect of the Capitol is responsible for the stewardship of more than 30 buildings including the US Capitol Building, US Supreme Court Building, Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building and the U.S. Botanical Garden Conservatory.
D|G Studios was commissioned to develop an orientation, wayfinding and identification program facilitating an improvement in the visitor's experience through efficacy of movement and the ease in which the wayfinding information is communicated and received in the context of the great historical buildings.
