But, New Orleans offers more than tourism and conventions. It is one of the world’s largest and busiest ports and is the home to major corporations in a variety of industries. To address the growing needs of the Central Business District, the Downtown Development District (DDD) retained D|G Studios to develop a Signage and Wayfinding system to unify the DDD’s six central districts and bring it out of the shadow of the French Quarter. Consensus building was essential to the project and included a public vote to select the final design option that best reflected the City.
