Anacostia Trails Heritage Area Signage Master Plan & Implementation

Prince George County, Maryland
Working with the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County and the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area, D|G Studios developed a highly comprehensive signage program for the US Route 1 Heritage Corridor encompassing over 15 cities and numerous destinations along the Corridor. Founded in 1997, ATHA is dedicated to preserving, renovating, enhancing and publicizing the rich history, unmatched cultural offerings and recreational sites filled with tourism opportunities within the 84 square acres of Prince George County. D|G Studios developed the necessary signage components to increase awareness of the Corridor among both vehicular and pedestrian users. Wayfinding and identification signage, a banner system for each community, orientation and interpretive signage components have all been developed and implementation of key elements for communities along the Corridor has been completed.
