Working with lds, D|G developed a comprehensive exterior and interior Signage and Wayfinding Master Plan for HCC in order to set Signage Standards for all campuses. The Signage Master Plan was conducted as part of HCC’s 2010 architectural plan. The program focused on developing consistently applied branding standards to bring the diverse campus environments together under the HCCS brand with appropriate application of the HCC identity, color families and typography.
HCC campuses are as diverse as the students and faculty served by HCC; some campuses are located in former retail centers, some are stand-alone campuses, some are in natural settings of residential areas and the main campus is located in the dense Houston Downtown District. The signage and wayfinding program assisted in pulling together all of these campuses to create a unified sense of place for students and visitors.
